They Seem to Be Sure They Will Lose in 2024
« on: April 27, 2022, 06:21:44 PM »
So they are frontloading on "stolen election!" now. A Bush guy yet, crying about "the popular vote":

Quote
But there is a difference between the falsely claimed "stolen" election of 2020 and what would be the stolen election of 2024. Unlike the Democrats' theft claimed by Republicans, the Republicans' theft would be in open defiance of the popular vote and thus the will of the American people: poetic, though tragic, irony for America's democracy.

Hillary is in on it:

^^^ Every now and again, I am reminded of the quote from Battlestar Galactica: all of this has happened before and will happen again.  And it was also in Peter Pan, but the context was much cooler in Battlestar Galactica.

As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;

And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!

I made it through a few paragraphs, and it sounds like those dastardly Republicans are planning to destroy our democracy by forcing everyone to follow laws and rules. And as we all know, the laws and rules were written by and for racist white men.  ;/
