If I had to guess, I would say it was either some sort of Brony type thing or some sort of behavior/degredation stuff.  I am not doing a google search.   =(

In its latest update, the WHO said some countries were reporting that new cases were appearing beyond known contacts of previously confirmed cases, which it said suggested chains of transmission were being "missed through undetected circulation of the virus".

Prediction: My neighbors won't stop going out for the local nightlife to hook up, but we will instead see another round of them putting down their "rescued" "furbabies."

A lot of them used to have dogs... Then there was the whole "your dog can infect you with the covids" thing, and it seems like I'm not seeing as many pooches.

Never mind that the only human interaction the poor critters had was with the people who were having everything delivered...

Any one notice a familiar pattern here?
Not in the vaccine part but where it got a firm foothold in the country? Think 1980s.

Quote
California state Sen. Scott Wiener sounded off on the federal government’s failure to procure an adequate supply of monkeypox vaccine and warned that San Francisco is heading toward a “public health mess of uncontrolled monkeypox spread.”

I remember in the 1980's there was a general attitude that AIDS was a gay disease.  There was great media push to change that view.  Fast forward 35 years or more, it never really got a foothold outside of homosexual conduct and drug use.

I think San Kinison said you basically have to make an appointment for it.  Monkeypox appears to be the same.

Got our first probable case here. Male. Possibly related to a cluster of cases in the Dallas and Austin areas, all of which tie back to a music festival in Dallas and a particular intimate activity.

The only community spread will be from men who are not completely truthful about where they were late at work at. And yet we are buying millions of vaccine doses, never let a crisis not be an opportunity to spend other people's money. And as moneypox fades the news is trying out the latest corona variant. My kid went to France a few weeks ago. All three of her party are vaxxed, boosted and she has had corona previously. They all tested positive. Almost no symptoms once again. And yet for two years I got lectures to keep her away from those stupid unvaxxed, unmasked rednecks.  [popcorn]

This is misinformation about #monkeypox. The outbreak is occurring almost entirely among men who have sex with me. Public health experts agree that sexual contact is the principle driver of transmission and have asserted that risk to kids remains *very low*.

Science reporter’s attempt to combat misinfo about monkeypox results in quite possibly ‘the greatest typo ever’
