We've got a lot of folks on golf carts and mopeds/scooters around here.

And the price is very right.

There were better deals to be had around 12 years ago.

It couldn't even drive off the shipping frame.  What sort of incline can it handle?  He just showed it driving over flat level ground only.  Seems pretty weak.
The poor welding he pointed out makes me wonder how the frame was put together.
It has a lot of bells and whistles which makes me wonder just how much went into the critical drive train stuff.  My impression is you could install a lawn mower engine and get more power.

I sort of like the idea, but I doubt I would buy one without a whole lot more knowledge.  My impression is you would be working on it a lot.

My Dad has a Polaris.  Those are a good bit more expensive, but they are pretty rugged and powerful.

I'm figuring that a home-built setup would cost me about $1,000 for each of two drive wheels (wheel hub motor).

Going to be talking to a guy on the north side about a bike's front end - That'll get welded to whatever I do for the rear end - Still mostly leaning toward VW engine and drive train. Altho I saw one very interesting setup where a guy ran a big electric motor directly into the tranny.

That's a slick rig.  Love the dumping function.

Sumoldood around here toodles around in a golf cart which I presume is street-legal and I've seen it towing a little trailer.  Did not get a chance to spot the plates of either, if any.  Maybe he's the FIL of the Police Chief or something.

Maybe not fabricated from janky angle iron and conscripts with a stick welder?

And the price is very right.

Are you referring to the base price of $2,000 in China, or the $8,000 price delivered to Florida?

There's a couple around here that putt around through the streets, him driving a lawn tractor, her in the wagon behind.  Always wonders what's up with that.

Some of the ones around here driving around on their mower lost their license to drunk driving. They pulled one over on his mower a couple months back and took him to jail for doing it again.
