California billboards: "Don't move to Texas"

Quote
AUSTIN, Texas - Billboards have been popping up around California, urging citizens not to move to Texas. These billboards go on to say the Texas miracle died following the Uvalde school shooting.

No info on who is paying for the billboards.  Perhaps it's Texans who don't want any more Californians moving to their state.

I did notice this tidbit from the Democrat being interviewed:

Quote from: Katie Narajo
... Republicans are trying to take away our right to have contraceptive birth control to determine our economic freedom.

I'm not aware of any attempts to ban birth control (please note that abortion is not birth control).  Is that happening in Texas?

Seems like this is a good thing all the way around. Keeps commies out of Texas. They can stay where they are instead of trying to move somewhere, decide they're unhappy,  and change it. I'm sure Texas will continue to welcome those who assimilate. I've been hoping this Idaho abortion stuff in the news now will keep commies from moving here.

I'm a Yankee by birth, a Texan by choice, and I DON'T vote for Democrats. (And, truth be told, there are Republicans I'm not too happy with . . . do you hear me, Sen. Cornyn?)

Kalifornia transplants in Texas - too many of them - vote for the same type of leftists that have ruined the place they're fleeing.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

It's all Trump's fault because...well, be sitting down because you might be laughing and shaking your head at the same time so hard you may fall down

You’ll never guess who Gavin Newsom blames for the droves of people fleeing California

Well, if it's a successful campaign, it should keep Monkeypox out of Texas.

The White House is busy ensuring equity in Monkeypox distribution.  I'm sure they'll make sure Austin has it's share.

Newsome is so egocentric he doesn't even realize that when he lies, the lies should at least be plausible and prompt thoughtful consideration - they shouldn't be so asininely absurd that the result is  laughter and mockery.

Here's an article that provides a small snapshot of why some people have left California - not one of those interviewed mentions Trump's lack of permissiveness for illegal alien entry:  https://nypost.com/2022/01/22/former-residents-reveal-why-we-left-california-for-good/

Katie Narajo: I think it's a sad truth. The signs questionable. Right. But the reality of what they're representing and the quality of life in Texas is what's offensive. And the Government's response, particularly Abbott's response to the mass shootings as well as the continued gun violence in Texas, is literally costing people their lives.

California is calling out Texas over gun violence?

Apparently at this point there is no question that this jackass will be re-elected by a landslide. He has $28 million in campaign funds he's looking to do something with now that he doesn't have to spend the dough on his campaign*, and these billboards are what he decided on.  I read that he's putting them in a bunch of red states, all with the same general message: "You're state sucks, move to California."

Again, I applaud him doing this. I want him to expand it to all red states. He needs to continue to provide the message in these states that if you like California policies, you should move there. It's a great way to get people that are otherwise *expletive deleted*ing up red states with their socialist voting to go where they'll be happy. I'm sure most here would help them move stuff into the U-Haul and buy the pizza on moving day. No animosity. I wish them well. They will be happier and I will be happier. It's a win-win.

* I mean, he could spend the $28 million on the homeless in California or on any of his other "Think of the children!" policy positions, but the billboards are cool with me.

Never thought of it that way, but man, that's a good way of looking at it.

Agree with Ben.

Wish most of the Kali refugees who moved to TX would either go back to the "Golden State" or stop voting for democrats.
