That would be a road to hell for America...

That was a banking official's response to Rep. Talib when she demanded banks immediately end all funding of fossil fuel projects.

The only problem is... hell is exactly what she wants.

I saw a clip of that this morning. Diamond can be an ass sometimes, but that was great.

It worries me that our congress critters have begun attacking the financing of Things They Don't Like â„¢.  Businesses run on money, and it's virtually a death sentence to take away access to dollars for a perfectly legal industry.

It's just terrorists returning the favor from when we attacked their sources of funding.

Considering the long list of essential products made from petrochemicals, that’s an insane proposal.  But, I guess her intent IS to crash society.

We're way, WAY past excusing what lefties like Tlaib are doing as stupidity - it's too far reaching, too all encompassing, too consistent to be anything but malice.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

AOC I can still attribute to stupidity, she wants to "improve" America, remold it into a socialist paradise. She thinks socialism is the cure all of all ills despite all the historical evidence otherwise. Tlaib on the other hand doesn't seem to want to "improve" America but rather wants it be erased from history.
At least that's the impression I have.

Talib and the others are true believers in socialism of the kind that was practiced in the Soviet Union and which is now practiced in China (well, that's a bit too... capitalist, really).

They believe it can be successfully enacted if the right people are in charge. And, like Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky, Mao, Deng, and others, they truely believe that THEY, and ONLY they, are the right people to be in charge.
