New to me, TFG
« on: October 02, 2022, 04:43:29 PM »
On another board I frequent someone started using TFG when referring to Trump. "The Former Guy" has gotten so far into people's psyche that they cannot even refer to him by name. Yet, every time they think Trump they have to take the time to  access his evilness and make a conscious decision to change the way they refer to him as TFG. He is living in so many people's mind at this point I am sure he wakes up and giggles every morning, I know I would.

I know a couple of people who are so traumatized by Trump that they can't say his name without visibly twitching.

If it weren't so pathetic it would be absolutely hysterical.

What am I saying... it IS hysterical.

I can hardly talk to acquaintances and former coworkers from CA anymore. There is so much TDS, even among my old "conservative" friends, that it's ridiculous. The same kind of derangement I saw with covid versus here and there when I was in CA last year.

Interestingly, one pretty leftist former coworker and current friend got red-pilled in the same way as Russell Brand. We had some interesting conversations when he stopped by for some fishing a few weeks ago.

Sadly, my oldest friend, who I've been friends with since High School, has pretty much cut off communications with me because of Trump. Not even because I was for Trump, but because I was not vehemently against him. We'd always had (other than in our early 20s, when he was actually conservative/libertarian) opposing political and social opinions, but just kind of avoided those topics. When Trump came along, I guess he expected me to make the same kind of "disavow" statement that prisoners of war have to make. When I didn't, I guess that was pretty much it for the friendship. And it didn't even happen until Trump was out of office. It seems a lot of TDS people are more TDS now than they were when Trump was president.

That's because so many things are going wrong in the country right now. Which is obviously all Trump's fault.

TFG aka Emmanuel Goldstein
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

I laugh at it, too, but that fear of imaginary terrors is what the establishment uses to accomplish their agenda on a whole range of issues. It's like a whole army of pathetic soy-boys; but they're so afraid of us, they can be driven right over us in their millions.

Oh please, BOTH sides use those tactics.

But it's not the Republican supporters who are so traumatized by liberals that they're no longer able to function in society without safe spaces and coloring books.

Hell, some of these people are so traumatized by Trump that if you ask them to even say the letters in his name they melt down.

The good thing is, however, that the left keeps trying to use the spectre of TRUMPISM!!!!!!!! in their election campaigns, but it's pretty clear that that is a tactic that has really lost its punch, if it ever had much to begin with.

Terry McAuliffe tried to make the 2019 Virginia Governor's race 100% about Donald Trump and how Youngkin was just a Trump 2.0. Practically every other word out of his mouth was him screaming TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP! and screeching how a Republican victory would make Virginia a slave holding state where everyone burned old tires for heat and women were all barefoot and pregnant.

And the entirety of the Virginia liberal establishment nodded their heads and affirmed that that was a campaign strategy that would guarantee election wins for 100 years.

Obviously that worked out really well for them, and they've still not quite figured out how it happened...

But they're pretty sure that TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!! had something to do with it.

Right... every putative Conservative candidate for the past 100 years has uttered nothing but 100% factually based claims on every subject of importance.

Not a single conservative candidate has fanned the transgender fear fire in any of their statements *COUGH*TIM JAMES*COUGH*

Not a single conservative candidate has spread inaccuracies... er... flat out lies... about whether a woman could get pregnant from being raped *COUGH*Yesli Vega*COUGH* as a means of fanning the flames of the abortion fire.

Sigh.

Still waiting.

On that first one, you seem to be suggesting that transgenderism is not a real danger, or not one commensurate to the warnings being raised about it. Well, I guess it isn't that big of a problem, unless your kid is the one being groomed. So you're wrong on that one.

The other example is someone that appears to be saying you don't have to worry about rape-induced pregnancies, so that is the opposite of fear-mongering.

Even if your examples were valid, they still don't come close to approaching the Left's vast fear machine of the past few years. Even the old Red Scare doesn't really come close to that, because the Communists were an actual threat.

Uh, you realize those are things the Left is actually doing, right? It doesn't make any sense to compare fear-mongering about imaginary threats with raising concerns about real threats.

It would really help if we stopped thinking we were being sophisticated by insisting the two sides are really the same.

Yep, was my point.
The left has call every one of those right wing fear-mongering at some point while at the same time in many cases openly working towards them.

"On that first one, you seem to be suggesting that transgenderism is not a real danger..."

And there you have it, the dog who has swallowed the whistle lock, stock, and barrel.

The stupidity of your statement, combined with this gem "Uh, you realize those are things the Left is actually doing, right?" (No, actually, they're not, just like most of the *expletive deleted*it that the left claims that the right is doing is equally jingoistic blather directed at people who apparently share your unwillingness to think critically because it's.... hard?) paint a pretty convincing picture that you're absolutely no different than those on the left whom you're decrying.

They claim their statements aren't fear mongering pandering primarily to their core but are the God's honest truth, so help them God!

Just as those on the right claim the same things, but they're not doing it for fear mongering to pander to their base but for Mom, apple pie & 'MURICA!

Amusing. And pathetic.

Not sure how that's a dog whistle, or else I'm misunderstanding your point.

The left's transgender push is an incredible danger to society, as evidenced by an entire classroom of eight year olds being convinced by their teacher that they are not their actual gender. Or the MSM writing about the cool doctors and their thriving practice of cutting the tits off of 13 year old girls. Or the California Governor passing a law to allow out of state children to come to Calif without parental consent for "gender affirming" drugs and surgery.
