What will happen if people don't trust elections? Think "The Battle of Athens, Tennessee" on a national scale.

The problem with our government is not things like the Constitution. The problem is the politicians who will not abide the Constitution.

And they got pretty much the exact number of votes out of it they needed to grab NV

D 50 R 49
Now on to GA
OF COURSE - they just generated what they needed, which an awful lot of people expected.

Just thinking back offhand, I do NOT remember late/delayed ballot counts EVER flipping vote totals from a D lead to an R lead, it always seems the R lead is what evaporates with a delayed count. A statistical improbability.

But making that observation, asking why that happens, or (horrors!) questioning the outcome will bring immediate denunciation of your "denialist" tendencies or accusations of being a "treasonous Putin puppet."
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

I remember lots of "suggestions" of using these sort of tactics to get HRC to the oval office.

Didn't happen.

Well, that is wildly optimistic.

The problem with our government is not things like the Constitution. The problem is the politicians who will not abide the Constitution.

The large majority of Americans do not believe in or abide the Constitution either.

What percentage of Americans would agree to:

Allow real, modern military rifles to be freely available to the public?
End the involvement of the Federal Government in:
social welfare programs (SS, medicare, medicaid, HUD, food stamps, WIC etc),
   student loans and grants,
   schooling,
   grants to local police
   environmental laws
   game laws
   weapons laws
   drug laws
   local infrastructure funding
   grants to local programs

And turn over all these functions (and funding responsibilities!) to state and local police?

Not only would the average American oppose all of these things vigorously, they would not even be able to understand that these things are a violation of the constitution.  Nor would they care if they could understand.

And young people are far worse than the old.  We are raising a generation of petty tyrants who thing that offensive speech is violence and should be punished by the law!

The constitution has been dead longer than almost all of us have been alive.

The integrity of our institutions = the integrity of the people running our institutions.

In other words, we're done for.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.
