Very cool. I think someone high-up at Magpul is a fan of "Ghost In The Shell" and other Anime...
Their micro bullpup .223 PDW has me drooling too. Glue and cracks in the dummy plastic mockup at last year's SHOT and all...
Although, in reality, this is just the Ares folding SMG of 1980's vintage re-done with a Glock slide and polymer. Our own Oleg has several shots of one in his galleries. It's all metal, and uses some UZI parts, IIRC.
http://olegvolk.net/gallery/technology/arms/uniqueguns/SMG28.jpg.htmlI love my earlier all-metal Kel-Tec Sub9. It probably sees more use than any of my other two firearms combined, since it's a long-gun, yet firing 9mm, gets more impromptu use at indoor ranges that are pistol-caliber only, which is good for a regrettably suburban creature such as myself, living in WI where the weather is likely to be bad half the year as well. I do wish my Kel-Tec subrifle had cleaner lines like this Magul concept though and looked less "gun like" when folded.
Does a very good job of satisfying the "NFA bug" without actually being NFA. As long as it's got a 16" barrel, and can't be fired when it's closed/folded under the minimum NFA OAL of 26", you ought to be golden.
